DARRYL POWERS has become one of CHAMPION's best loved models. He was discovered at the SUNSHINE BEACH CLUB in Florida during the period in the 60s when Champ had folded as MASTER PHYSIQUE and was using the name of the nudist colony he had invested in with photographer Dick Falcon. Darryl was a 19 year old bodybuilder who stood 6' tall, weighed 170 lbs., had brown hair & blue eyes. He was of English-French descent. He was married with a cild and they lived in a trailer in a backwoods area not that far from the Sunshine Beach Club. When approached he was very interested in posing but a bit uptight and acted very heterosexual (no touchee tushee)
When Champ invited him to come back to NYC with him he jumped at the chance. To Champ's amazement and deliht that first night in Manhattan Darryl jumped into bed with him with all systems go and a pleasetouchee tush ready for action. It seems away from those he knew Darryl was free to be himself. He went wild in Manhattan. The uptight Floridian became the toast of New York. Luckily this was in the days when the wild abandon of emerging from the closet could only get you a trip to the VD clinic and frictin burns on your dick and anus. Darryl went on to many relationships & adventures.

From the sparkling Florida sand of the SUNSHINE BEACH CLUB we have handsome, Hung & well built BUDDY HOLLAND. Buddy, you'll note, had the look of the 50s that carried over to the early-to-mid 60s when CHAMPION shot these and many more works on this hot 20 year old ex-serviceman. Buddy stood 5'9", weighed 150 lbs., has a 9 ˝" Patriot missile (long before they were invented). He is of Dutch-English extraction (tenses change because he's still alive but height & weight might have changed). Buddy was VERY fussy about looking his best and keeping in top shape. He was an immaculate dresser, highly fashion conscious, and a bit conservative. He loved sports and enjoyed sailing, water skiing, & tennis. He was a quiet, friendly guy who was a natural at posing.

Solidly built & thickly hung CHRIS HART was 20 when CHAMPION did these shots at the apartment & studio. He weighed in at 165 lbs. and was a boxer, having been in the Golden Gloves. He loved football, was outgoing & friendly with beautiful blue eyes. His hope was to be a professional model.
