And, yes, we're sorry to say, Steve was straight. Get out the
razors & remember lengthwise acroos the vein not across.
Of all the hundreds of models
photographed by OLD RELIABLE there is one who
has become a legend, although many know his image have never
known his name.
STEVE TRACY would have to be considered the
ultimate "Surfer Boy" fantasy,
perfection from his long golden blond hair and
sapphire eyes to his suckable toes.
Even with an electron microscope you couldn't find a flaw on that
trim, muscular, well defined body that was kept in top
shape through swimming and surfing (he really was a surfer/beach
boy)
Steve was 18, stood 5'10", weighed 150 lbs. and had, nestled in a bed of golden pubic hair, an 8" toy that could send anyone into ecstasy
The year was 1969, the year of the Stonewall Riot that birthed
the Gay Liberation movement and the final year of the incredible
60s. Steve had been recommended to David by a friend in Mountain
View, CA. Steve was straight but uninhibited about posing for the
pleasure of guys. David recalls that he was an "absoute
delight!"
Unfortunately only two sessions were done. In that first
session Stve had medium length hair and in the second and final
session done some weeks later his hair had grown past his
shoulders. David says he is constantly surprised at just how
famous Steve has become. At that time he was just one of many hot
guys David immortalized on film. The trajedy is that most of the
slides and negatives of Steve have been either lost or destroyed
over the years and only a few remain.
It's another nightmare from the fire
that took Man-Age Studios in '86. A number of the original
chromes and negs that had come from the Grecian Guild files were
in their office & were cremated.
Steve found a patron (nudge, nudge know what I mean) shortly after that last session who brought him to NYC to take up studies at an art school there. After finishing h taveled back west to San Francisco where he worked as a waiter for a time. David stopped hearing from him at this time and the trail end here.
